Microdermabrasion

See results MegaPeel incorporates the most advanced microdermabrasion technology by using crystals to gently exfoliate superficial layers of the skin. This procedure can be used for all skin types and will reduce scarring, fine lines, moderate wrinkles, pigmentation problems and, sun damaged skin. Typically, a series of treatments will lead to a more radiant skin appearance. For more information, visit www.megapeel.com

Chemical Peels

Statesboro Plastic Surgery offers a comprehensive peel system that consists of varying acid strengths. Each peel is designed to produce varying degrees of exfoliation depending on the patient's individual needs.

A chemical peel is a popular procedure to make your skin smoother and more youthful looking. Typically, a series of 3 peels are recommended, about four weeks apart. Chemical peels are effective in dealing with acne, acne scars, liver spots, fine lines, wrinkles, freckles, irregular skin pigmentation, scaly patches, scars, and sun-damaged skin.

Laser Hair Removal

Laser hair removal is a safe, effective, and popular way to remove unwanted hair. The laser targets the color in the hair follicle and through a series of treatments reduces and/or eliminates hair growth in these areas. The laser destroys the follicle during its active growth stage. Since not all hair follicles are in the active growth phase at the same time, a series of 3 to 5 treatments are usually required. Occasionally there will be a few hairs needed to be touched up at a later time. Typically the interval between treatments is about 4 weeks. The most common treatment areas for laser hair removal for women are underarms, face, bikini lines, and legs. More info.

IPL (Intense Pulsed Light)

Many plastic surgeons and dermatologists believe IPL treatments are the true future of successful long-term skin rejuvenation. IPL is extremely versatile allowing the technician to customize the settings to meet the patients' specific needs. The advantage over traditional cosmetic procedures is its ability to deliver smoother, younger-looking skin immediately and much more comfortably, with little down time.

IPL's benefits include: reversal of sun damage and rough skin, disappearance of red lines, fading of freckles and brown spots, decrease of acne scars and accompanying discoloration and redness from rosacea.

Before the 30 to 60-minute treatment begins, a topical anesthetic cream is applied, minimizing the feel of a "warm snap" caused by the pulsed light. The light stimulation improves the skin while avoiding trauma to the surface and underlying layers. For optimal results, a series of 5-7 full face pulsed light treatments are given in three week intervals. More info.

Injecting the gel under the skin instantly returns that natural look and feel-so everyone will notice (but no one will know)! For more information, visit www.juvederm.com

BOTOX®

click for interactive viewer BOTOX® is a doctor administered medicine used to temporarily eliminate moderate to severe lines around the eye area and forehead. Dr. Bisseck will determine exactly where to administer tiny injections to achieve the best results for you. No anesthesia is required and the procedure will take approximately 10 minutes with no downtime afterward.

BOTOX® has also been FDA approved to treat severe underarm sweating, a condition caused from overactive sweat glands that are so severe, "over-the-counter" antiperspirants or deodorants do little to manage the problem. BOTOX® treatments help control this condition by temporarily blocking the chemical signals from the nerves that stimulate the sweat glands. The treatment usually lasts for approximately 6 months. Moderately Invasive

Fractional CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing

This procedure is a safe, long-lasting and effective treatment for: wrinkles, fine lines, acne scars, skin texture irregularities, chicken pox scars, certain precancerous skin growths, sun damage and pigmented lesions. As we age, our body's collagen decreases as the main supporting structure of the skin. Fractional resurfacing stimulates collagen production, thereby improving tone, texture and tightness of the skin.

Prior to the procedure, a topical anesthetic is applied to the treatment area. During the resurfacing, you will experience a mild snapping sensation and upon completion feel as if you have a sunburn.
